Eklutna Lake

I can not believe its almost February. Whaa. I celebrated the end of January by freezing my butt off with some of my personal favorites and our pups. Eklutna is completely frozen over, and you can skate to the opposite end of the lake, if you can skate that is. Which fun fact, I cant.

Lauwers Engagement

Katie and Dax and the ultimate couple GOALS. Not only are they both hilarious, and kind, and so unbelievably down to earth, they also rebuilt a whole RV together AND have chickens. Basically the complete package, only make sense they’re tying the knot this spring and I for one can not wait to be there to photograph it.

Snow Queen

Its not everyday you get your beautiful best friend to agree to model in negative degrees in just a dress and some fur. But here I am being the luckiest photographer ever.

I’ve been so inspired by what people around here are calling ‘hoar frost.’ Everything in town has been coated in crystals of ice and it’s like a winter wonderland. I’ve been wanted to do a snow queen inspired look without the over the top theatrical looks. My best friend rocked the natural beauty and cold like a true Snow Queen

Freije Family

I met Sarah through a group of local photographers, models, and hair and makeup artist. Im not sure if she remembers this but the very fist collaboration I attended I was so nervous for I actually stupidly forgot my SD cards when I arrived at the collaboration and she so generously lent me a card for the shoot. I’ve been following her journey as a photographer ever since. She is an inspiration as a working mom and as an artist. I had the opportunity to work with this fearless momma and her beautiful family to get some amazing images of their expected baby girl.

Cliche Resolutions

New Years bring a slew of new goals, personal and business related. One thing I want to get better at is journaling; sharing my thoughts, ideas and work. My goal is to get on this journally thingy at least once a week. I want to share all my work with you, my designs, my photos, my doodles, my dogs who knows. So tag along and share what you want to see!

Alaskan Luau

When your cousins a bush pilots and says, "Hey get to the Kenai airport we're cooking a pig across the inlet," You don't question it and get to the airport.

Turns out you don't have to go to Hawaii for white sand beaches, sun and pig roasts!

An Alaskan Maternity

If you don't know Marissa Amour, you need, need, NEED to check her artwork  now, I have a few of her prints up in my home and they are seriously amazing.

Marissa is the epitome of an Alaskan women, down to earth, lover of the ocean, and free spirited. The best thing about this shoot was Marissa willing to do anything for the shot! The series turned out amazing, her and Dylan are going to make amazing parents soon!

Alex and Lance // Couples Shoot

When I meet a couple for the first time I always love hearing the "how we met" story. Alex and Lance's did not disappoint. These two only met a couple months ago, but you would have never guessed it. They both grew up just hours apart in Illinois and never met til they both moved to Alaska for a short splint. Love is such a funny thing.
